Continuation of the SDAP Safe Driver Apprenticeship Program and the DRIVE SAFE Act; advocacy to increase and extend funding for the CMVOST program. Advocacy to have Congress increase the enforcement of the Entry-Level Driver Training Rules through statutory action related to the forthcoming Surface Reauthorization.
Support for reauthorization of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act to reduce problematic local workforce board autonomy and strengthen prominence of truck driver training programs and make truck driving careers a nationally in-demand occupation, (in a bill similar to the Stronger Workforce for America Act).
