                                    AN ACT
 1   Amending the act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), entitled "An
 2      act relating to the public school system, including certain
 3      provisions applicable as well to private and parochial
 4      schools; amending, revising, consolidating and changing the
 5      laws relating thereto," in charter schools, providing for
 6      moratorium on buildings.
 7      The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
 8   hereby enacts as follows:
 9      Section 1.    The act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), known
10   as the Public School Code of 1949, is amended by adding a
11   section to read:
12   Section 1750.1-A.    Moratorium on buildings.
13      (a)   Cyber charter school.--Beginning on the effective date
14   of this subsection, a cyber charter school may not own, purchase
15   or lease property.
16      (b)   Educational management service provider.--Beginning on
17   the effective date of this subsection, an educational management
18   service provider may not own, purchase or lease property on
19   behalf of a cyber charter school.
1      (c)   Applicability.--Subsections (a) and (b) shall not apply
2   to property owned, purchased or leased on or before the
3   effective date of this subsection.
4      Section 2.   This act shall take effect in 60 days.
