AN ACT
1 Amending Title 1 (General Provisions) of the Pennsylvania
2 Consolidated Statutes, providing for legislative procedure.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. Title 1 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes
6 is amended by adding a chapter to read:
7 CHAPTER 10
8 LEGISLATIVE PROCEDURE
9 Sec.
10 1001. (Reserved).
11 1002. Legislation to include original purpose.
12 § 1001. (Reserved).
13 § 1002. Legislation to include original purpose.
14 A bill or joint resolution introduced in the General Assembly
15 shall contain a preamble which clearly and concisely states the
16 original purpose of the legislation.
