AN ACT
1 Amending Title 66 (Public Utilities) of the Pennsylvania
2 Consolidated Statutes, in service and facilities, further
3 providing for electricity supplied to certain organizations.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 1511 of Title 66 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
8 § 1511. [Electricity] Service supplied to certain
9 organizations.
10 Any public utility company supplying [electric] service
11 shall, upon application, permit a volunteer fire company, a
12 nonprofit rescue squad or ambulance service or a nonprofit
13 [senior citizen] older adult center to elect to have its
14 [electric] service rendered pursuant to a rate schedule which
15 provides equivalent charges for such service as residential
16 rates [upon execution of a contract for a minimum term of one
17 year].
1 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
