AN ACT
1 Amending Title 30 (Fish) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, in preliminary provisions relating to boats and
3 boating, further providing for registrations, licenses,
4 permits, plates and statistics.
5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6 hereby enacts as follows:
7 Section 1. Section 5122(a) introductory paragraph of Title
8 30 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes is amended and the
9 section is amended by adding a subsection to read:
10 § 5122. Registrations, licenses, permits, plates and
11 statistics.
12 (a) General rule.--[The] Except as otherwise provided under
13 subsection (a.1), the commission may promulgate rules and
14 regulations relating to:

16 (a.1) Restriction.--The commission may not promulgate
17 regulations or require a permit or other launch or related
18 registration of a boat not equipped with a motor in any park,
1 forest or waters of this Commonwealth.

3 Section 2. All regulations and parts of regulations are
4 abrogated to the extent of any inconsistency with this act.
5 Section 3. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
