                                      AN ACT
 1   Amending Title 34 (Game) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
 2      Statutes, in hunting and furtaking, further providing for
 3      unlawful devices and methods.
 4      The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
 5   hereby enacts as follows:
 6      Section 1.     Section 2308(b.1) of Title 34 of the Pennsylvania
 7   Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
 8   § 2308.    Unlawful devices and methods.
 9      * * *
10      (b.1)    Additional [exception.--A] exceptions.--
11             (1)   A semiautomatic rifle may be used to hunt game in
12      accordance with regulations promulgated by the commission.
13             (2)   Notwithstanding subsection (a)(4), the commission
14      may direct that persons may lawfully hunt or aid, abet,
15      assist or conspire to hunt any snow goose during the snow
16      goose conservation season through the use of a semiautomatic
17      shotgun or magazine shotgun without regard to the restriction
18      that the shotgun is plugged to a two-shell capacity in the
1     magazine. If the commission so directs, the commission shall
2     transmit notice of the direction to the Legislative Reference
3     Bureau for publication in the next available issue of the
4     Pennsylvania Bulletin.

6     Section 2.    This act shall take effect immediately.
