AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, in registration of vehicles, further providing for
3 period of registration.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 1307(g) of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
8 § 1307. Period of registration.
9 * * *
10 (g) Election.--Upon application on a form prescribed by the
11 department, the owner or lessee of a motor vehicle, except a
12 motor vehicle registered under the International Registration
13 Plan and a motor vehicle with a seasonal registration or a
14 circus or carnival plate, may elect to pay an annual
15 registration fee for a two-year period. The fee shall be two
16 times the amount of the registration fee otherwise payable for
17 the motor vehicle under this title minus at least 10% of the
1 total registration fee excluding the fee for local use required
2 by section 1935 (relating to fee for local use) as determined by
3 the department.
4 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
