AN ACT
1 Making appropriations from a restricted revenue account within
2 the General Fund and from Federal augmentation funds to the
3 Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission for the fiscal year
4 July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027.
5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6 hereby enacts as follows:
7 Section 1. The following sums, or as much thereof as may be
8 necessary, are specifically appropriated from the restricted
9 revenue account within the General Fund and from Federal
10 augmentation funds to the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission
11 to provide for the operation of the commission for the fiscal
12 year July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027, for the purposes and in the
13 amounts shown:
14 Federal State
15 For the salaries, wages and all
16 necessary expenses for the proper
17 operation and administration of the
18 Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission,
19 including the chairman and
1 commissioners and the Bureau of
2 Safety and Enforcement.
3 State appropriation............ 98,102,000
4 The following Federal augmentation
5 amounts, or as much thereof as may be
6 necessary, are specifically
7 appropriated to supplement the sum
8 authorized to be billed to utilities
9 for the operation of the commission:
10 (1) "Natural Gas Pipeline Safety" -
11 To enforce the regulations of the
12 Natural Gas Pipeline Safety Act.
13 Federal appropriation........... 5,383,000
14 Any Federal funds which the
15 Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission
16 receives pursuant to these
17 appropriations shall not be reimbursed
18 to any utility.
19 Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2026, or
20 immediately, whichever is later.
