                                      AN ACT
 1   Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
 2      Statutes, in registration of vehicles, further providing for
 3      vehicles exempt from registration; and, in inspection of
 4      vehicles, further providing for operation of vehicle without
 5      official certificate of inspection.
 6      The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
 7   hereby enacts as follows:
 8      Section 1.      Sections 1302 and 4703(b) of Title 75 of the
 9   Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes are amended by adding a
10   paragraph to read:
11   § 1302.    Vehicles exempt from registration.
12      The following types of vehicles are exempt from registration:
13             * * *
14             (2.3)   A commercial implement of husbandry being operated
15      on a highway within 50 miles of a place of business owned by
16      the owner of the commercial implement of husbandry for the
17      purpose of transporting the commercial implement of husbandry
18      to a farm or farms located within 50 miles of the commercial
19      vehicle owner's place of business, regardless of whether the
 1      commercial implement of husbandry is operated by the owner or
 2      another individual.

 4   § 4703.    Operation of vehicle without official certificate of
 5                 inspection.
 6      * * *
 7      (b)    Exceptions.--Subsection (a) does not apply to:
 8             * * *
 9             (2.2)   A commercial implement of husbandry exempt from
10      registration under section 1302(2.3) (relating to vehicles
11      exempt from registration).

13      Section 2.     This act shall take effect in 60 days.
