AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, in other required equipment, further providing for
3 general requirements for school buses.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 4552 of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read:
8 § 4552. General requirements for school buses.

10 (c.1) Video monitoring system.--
11 (1) By July 1, 2026, every school bus shall have a video
12 monitoring system that, at a minimum, includes an internal
13 camera positioned so that every seat is within the camera's
14 field of vision and one of the following:
15 (i) an internal camera positioned outward so that
16 the road ahead is within the camera's field of vision; or
17 (ii) an external camera.
18 (2) The department shall promulgate regulations to
1 implement this subsection.
