                                    AN ACT
 1   Amending Title 30 (Fish) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
 2      Statutes, in Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, further
 3      providing for waterways patrolmen and employees.
 4      The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
 5   hereby enacts as follows:
 6      Section 1.    Section 304 of Title 30 of the Pennsylvania
 7   Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
 8   § 304.   Waterways patrolmen and employees.
 9      (a)   Appointment and compensation.--[The] Except as provided
10   in subsection (c), the executive director, with the approval of
11   the commission, shall, in accordance with law and the
12   classification and compensation plans of the Commonwealth as
13   established by the Executive Board, appoint and fix the
14   compensation of such number of waterways patrolmen and other
15   employees as the commission deems necessary to enforce and carry
16   out the provisions of this title and perform the functions and
17   work of the commission.
18      (c)   Waterways conservation officers.--Each full-time
1   waterways conservation officer whose duty it is to enforce this
2   title shall be classified in the same manner as members of the
3   Pennsylvania State Police for purposes of compensation.
4      Section 2.   This act shall apply to compensation earned on or
5   after the effective date of this section.
6      Section 3.   This act shall take effect in 60 days.
