                               A RESOLUTION
 1   Designating June 24, 2025, as "Universal Day of the Romanian
 2      Blouse" in Pennsylvania.
 3      WHEREAS, There are more than 167,000 Romanian immigrants
 4   living in the United States; and
 5      WHEREAS, More than 4,200 Romanian immigrants reside in this
 6   Commonwealth; and
 7      WHEREAS, The traditional Romanian blouse holds profound
 8   cultural significance as an iconic symbol of Romanian heritage
 9   and craftsmanship; and
10      WHEREAS, The Romanian blouse represents centuries of
11   tradition, artistry and cultural identity of the Romanian
12   people; and
13      WHEREAS, Designating a specific day to honor the Romanian
14   blouse provides an opportunity for residents of this
15   Commonwealth to commemorate and showcase this integral part of
16   Romanian culture; and
17      WHEREAS, It is essential to recognize and celebrate the
1   cultural diversity of this Commonwealth and its residents; and
2      WHEREAS, The first "Universal Day of the Romanian Blouse" was
3   designated on June 24, 2013, by the online community La Blouse
4   Roumaine; therefore be it
5      RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives designate June
6   24, 2025, as "Universal Day of the Romanian Blouse" in
7   Pennsylvania.
