                               A RESOLUTION
 1   Designating September 25, 2025, as "Disabled American Veterans
 2      Day" in Pennsylvania in recognition of the men and women who
 3      have borne the wounds of war, and the unwavering advocacy and
 4      support of the Disabled American Veterans.
 5      WHEREAS, Founded in 1920 and chartered by Congress in 1932,
 6   the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) is a nonprofit organization
 7   dedicated to delivering comprehensive services on behalf of our
 8   nation's veterans with disabilities and their families, ensuring
 9   the fulfillment of basic promises; and
10      WHEREAS, DAV assists with United States Department of
11   Veterans Affairs (VA) claims and appeals, ensuring access to
12   earned benefits; and
13      WHEREAS, The DAV Transportation Network offers critical no-
14   cost rides to VA medical appointments, ensuring access to health
15   care; and
16      WHEREAS, DAV employment and volunteer programs and outreach
17   events foster engagement in rural and metropolitan areas alike,
 1   ensuring access to local resources and partnerships; and
 2        WHEREAS, DAV volunteers and service officers exemplify the
 3   commitment to leaving no veteran behind; and
 4        WHEREAS, Their life-changing support reaches more than 1
 5   million veterans nationwide each year; and
 6        WHEREAS, Veterans with disabilities who reside in this
 7   Commonwealth have made profound sacrifices in service to our
 8   nation; and
 9        WHEREAS, "Disabled American Veterans Day" honors them, raises
10   public awareness of their challenges and highlights DAV's
11   impact; and
12        WHEREAS, "Disabled American Veterans Day" permits us to
13   reflect on the contributions, hardships and sacrifices of
14   veterans with disabilities; and
15        WHEREAS, "Disabled American Veterans Day" permits us to renew
16   our commitment to the critical support we owe them; therefore be
17   it
18        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives designate
19   September 25, 2025, as "Disabled American Veterans Day" in
20   Pennsylvania in recognition of the men and women who have borne
21   the wounds of war, and the unwavering advocacy and support of
22   the Disabled American Veterans.
