     INTRODUCED BY SANCHEZ, GREINER, CONKLIN, HILL-EVANS, GUENST,
        WAXMAN, VENKAT, JAMES, PICKETT, DOUGHERTY, GUZMAN, BRENNAN,
        RIVERA, GALLAGHER, NEILSON, FRANKEL AND HADDOCK,
        OCTOBER 15, 2025

     REFERRED TO COMMITTEE ON STATE GOVERNMENT, OCTOBER 16, 2025


                               A RESOLUTION
 1   Designating the week of November 17 through 21, 2025, as
 2      "Certified Public Accountant Week" in Pennsylvania.
 3      WHEREAS, The Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public
 4   Accountants (PICPA) is the premier association of accounting and
 5   finance professionals in this Commonwealth; and
 6      WHEREAS, PICPA was organized in 1897 and represents
 7   approximately 20,000 certified public accountants (CPAs) in
 8   public practice, industry, government and education; and
 9      WHEREAS, The mission of PICPA is to serve the needs of its
10   members by promoting and maintaining high professional and
11   ethical standards of public accountancy; and
12      WHEREAS, PICPA is committed to protecting the interests of
13   the public; and
14      WHEREAS, CPAs of this Commonwealth are trusted advisors to
15   hundreds of thousands of taxpayers and businesses and help
16   foster economic growth in this Commonwealth; and
17      WHEREAS, CPAs of this Commonwealth provide career sessions to
 1   students about business and the role of accountants; and
 2      WHEREAS, PICPA also provides educational materials and
 3   programs to enhance the financial literacy of the public;
 4   therefore be it
 5      RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives designate the
 6   week of November 17 through 21, 2025, as "Certified Public
 7   Accountant Week" in Pennsylvania; and be it further
 8      RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives extend sincere
 9   appreciation to the CPAs of this Commonwealth for their services
10   to the people of this Commonwealth.
