     INTRODUCED BY ECKER, DECEMBER 29, 2025

     TO UNCONTESTED CALENDAR UNDER RULE 35 JANUARY 5, 2026


                                  A RESOLUTION
 1   Honoring the life and extending condolences to the family of
 2      Detective Sergeant Cody Michael Becker.
 3         WHEREAS, Detective Sergeant Cody Michael Becker gave his life
 4   in the line of duty on September 17, 2025, at 39 years of age;
 5   and
 6         WHEREAS, Born in Hanover on September 19, 1985, Detective
 7   Sergeant Becker was the son of Jody L. (Hartlaub) Becker and
 8   Thomas Becker; and
 9         WHEREAS, Detective Sergeant Becker was a devoted husband to
10   Jordan L. (Mitzel) Becker and a loving father to their children,
11   Canton and Wrynn; and
12         WHEREAS, Detective Sergeant Becker was a 2004 graduate of
13   Spring Grove Area High School, where he excelled as a three-
14   sport athlete and lead the baseball, football and wrestling
15   teams as team captain; and
16         WHEREAS, Detective Sergeant Becker continued his academic and
17   athletic career at Millersville University, where he became an
18   NCAA Division I East Regional Champion in wrestling and a two-
 1   time national qualifier in 2006 and 2007; and
 2         WHEREAS, After graduation from college in 2008, Detective
 3   Sergeant Becker dedicated his life to public service with the
 4   Northern York County Regional Police Department; and
 5         WHEREAS, On June 8, 2010, Detective Sergeant Becker
 6   heroically responded to a house fire, saving a family of four;
 7   and
 8         WHEREAS, Throughout his distinguished career with the
 9   Northern York Regional Police Department, Detective Sergeant
10   Becker received numerous commendations and awards for excellence
11   during his career in law enforcement; and
12         WHEREAS, Detective Sergeant Becker's reputation for humility,
13   dedication and selfless service left a lasting impact on those
14   that had the privilege of knowing him; therefore be it
15         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives honor the life
16   and extend deepest condolences to the family of Detective
17   Sergeant Cody Michael Becker.
