                                    AN ACT
 1   Amending Titles 30 (Fish) and 34 (Game) of the Pennsylvania
 2      Consolidated Statutes, in fishing licenses, providing for
 3      volunteer firefighters, volunteer special fire police
 4      officers and volunteer emergency medical service technicians;
 5      and, in hunting and furtaking licenses, further providing for
 6      resident license and fee exemptions and for license costs and
 7      fees.
 8      The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
 9   hereby enacts as follows:
10      Section 1.    Title 30 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
11   Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
12   § 2707.3.   Volunteer firefighters, volunteer special fire police
13               officers and volunteer emergency medical service
14               technicians.
15      (a)   Eligibility.--The commission or a county treasurer shall
16   issue one annual resident fishing license at a cost of $1 to any
17   person eligible for the license under section 2701 (relating to
18   resident fishing licenses) who provides documentation that for
19   at least the previous 12 months the person has been a volunteer
20   firefighter, volunteer special fire police officer or volunteer
 1   emergency medical service technician in good standing in this
 2   Commonwealth.
 3      (b)    Regulations.--The commission may promulgate regulations
 4   to implement this section.
 5      Section 2.     Section 2706 of Title 34 is amended by adding a
 6   subsection to read:
 7   § 2706.    Resident license and fee exemptions.

 9      (i)    Volunteer firefighter, volunteer special fire police
10   officer and volunteer emergency medical service technician
11   hunting licenses.--
12             (1)   Volunteer firefighter, volunteer special fire police
13      officer and volunteer emergency medical service technician
14      hunting licenses shall be issued by the commission, county
15      treasurer or issuing agent to any person otherwise eligible
16      for a resident hunting license in this Commonwealth who
17      provides documentation that for at least the previous 12
18      months the person was a volunteer firefighter, volunteer
19      special fire police officer or volunteer emergency medical
20      service technician in good standing in this Commonwealth.
21             (2)   The commission may promulgate regulations to
22      implement this subsection.
23      Section 3.     Section 2709(a)(2) of Title 34 is amended by
24   adding subparagraphs to read:
25   § 2709.    License costs and fees.
26      (a)    License costs.--Any person who qualifies under the
27   provisions of this chapter shall be issued the applicable
28   license upon payment of the following costs and the issuing
29   agent's fee:
