                                    AN ACT
 1   Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
 2      Consolidated Statutes, in general principals of
 3      justification, further providing for definitions.
 4      The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
 5   hereby enacts as follows:
 6      Section 1.    The definition of "dwelling" in section 501 of
 7   Title 18 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes is amended to
 8   read:
 9   § 501.   Definitions.
10      Subject to additional definitions contained in subsequent
11   provisions of this chapter which are applicable to specific
12   provisions of this chapter, the following words and phrases,
13   when used in this chapter shall have, unless the context clearly
14   indicates otherwise, the meanings given to them in this section:

16      "Dwelling."    [Any building or structure, including any
17   attached porch, deck or patio, though movable or temporary, or a
18   portion thereof, which is for the time being the home or place
1   of lodging of the actor.] The parcel of land to the property
2   lines and any building or structure erected thereon, of whatever
3   form, regardless of whether movable or temporary, which is for
4   the time being the home or place of lodging of the actor.

6      Section 2.   This act shall take effect in 60 days.
