This is such an exciting day. Uh, everybody watched and participated in *** very contested election, and it's an important election for the future of Louisiana because as we know now, Louisiana's going to start with *** new United States senator. Our senior senator will no longer be serving next year and so the the voters of the state have an important choice to make. And as you think about the kind of people that we need fighting for Louisiana in Washington, it takes somebody that's willing to fight, and it also takes somebody that shares Louisiana's values and knows how to work with people to get things done. And let me tell you something, Julia Letlow is that person. I've been proud to work side by side with Julia Letlow for years now since she came to Congress, and we've worked closely on many big, big wins for our great state. You know, if you think about just in this last two years we've worked incredibly close on the one big beautiful bill when we needed to put *** coalition together to make sure that things like here where *** great restaurant like Drago's, uh, where all the people that are serving out there in the in the area, no tax on tips, what *** great benefit. That has been to thousands of workers in Louisiana. Julia was there every step of the way to help deliver that benefit. No tax on overtime. We've already seen tens of thousands of Louisiana workers that now have thousands more dollars in their pocket, average over $4000 back in their pocket because of the work that Julia. Did to deliver for those workers and then of course for seniors. Julia once again was right there every step of the way working to deliver for Louisiana families and as we looked at all the results and people are already filing their taxes, Louisiana is one of the top 5 states in the nation in terms of benefits coming back from that bill. So you can see just how effective Julia Letlow has been at delivering for Louisiana when I was working very closely with President Trump on the energy provisions of this bill. Uh, we had been trying for decades to lift the cap on revenue sharing. Couldn't happen for *** long, long time. *** lot o
