Kathy Hochul. Protesters organized by EndJewHatred said Mamdani had turned a blind eye and a deaf ear to a surge in antisemitic incidents in the city. The demonstration was backed by such groups as the Israeli American Council, the Catholic League, the Zionist Organization of America, and the Lawfare Project. * A boycott of Israeli foods was approved by members of the Park Slope Food Coop in Brooklyn on Tuesday in a victory for the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement. In response, the Louis D. Brandeis Center for Human Rights Under Law said it was “evaluating all available claims arising from the discriminatory nature of this boycott and the procedural irregularities that allowed it to pass. We have stopped BDS before, including Ben & Jerry’s We intend to stop it here too.” Avi Posnick, Northeast executive director of StandWithUs, stated “This does nothing to help Israelis and Palestinians make peace. Instead, it actively promotes the agenda of violent extremists, while fueling division among members of the co-op.
