Summary

The Department of Homeland Security appropriations bill includes all annual appropriations for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), providing resources to every departmental component. The Tables and Figures included show DHS’s new discretionary budget authority enacted for FY2024 and requested by the Administration for FY2025, included in House-passed H.R. 8752, and ultimately provided in a full-year continuing resolution, P.L. 119-4, Div. A. This report analyzes, at the component level, the various funding streams controlled for reprogramming and transfers in the appropriations process.
