AGR — Agriculture

Support USDA REAP program, section 9007, of the farm bill (PL 115-334), including re-authorization of new farm bill (pending in House HR 7567). Promote strong implementation of said program at USDA including opening up grants and loans from the current pause(s). Support provision in law from the IRA that enables under-utilized technologies to more fully participate including in pending farm bill consideration. Advocate for Administration to continue support for small and mid-sized farmers and rural small businesses to access distributed wind power (and other technologies) thru USDA support generally.

ENG — Energy/Nuclear

Support DOE Wind program office for wind power development particularly for distributed wind power market segment. This is a long-standing office and program, which is effective, and helps small wind businesses (and by extension customers) across the US. Support relevant and growing appropriations for the office and program, as well as distributed wind power in particular. Distributed wind power helps farmers, rural businesses, and many others lower energy costs, and improve the bottom line, as well as improve environmental quality, typically for rural communities. Advocate, to degree possible, for reinstatement or revised wind power investment and production tax credits, as well as workable rules related to those (mostly former) tax credits (48E, 45Y etc.), in the "OBBBA" or HR 1 going forward. Support reasonable implementation and guidance for said legislation.
